It basically killed Atlanta's night life. Atlanta also used to have bar closing hours at 4am until an incident involving NFL star Ray Lewis occurred in Buckhead outside the club district that used to be there, they have like 30 or 40 bars and clubs in that area and they closed the entire district down after pressure from the Buckhead business community and the city of Atlanta encourage a developer to purchase the property and turn into a boutique area like Beverly Hills. u would walk out the club and the sun would be up. That was the place to go on Sunday.Traxx on Saturday night and The Marquette afterwards because they didn't close. That place was legendary.u also had Water Works restaurant on Luckie Street which was black and gay with Pear Garden bar next door. Loretta was a female.she ran the club throughout the 80's and as the early 90's began, her brother took over for her until they finally sold the building, if i'm not mistaken.
